This Privacy Policy explains how Fynova Technologies (“Fynova”, “we”, “us”, “our”), based in Victoria, Australia, collects, uses and shares information when you use the Sketchee mobile app (“Sketchee” or the “App”).

- Who can use Sketchee
Sketchee is for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, or under the age of digital consent where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission to use the App.
- Information we collect
Information you give us
– Account information: your email address and password, or the name and email address shared by Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. With Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email, and we then receive a relay address instead.
– Profile information: your display name, timezone, daily practice goal and avatar drawing.
– Drawings and photos: drawings you make in the App and photos of your drawings that you take with your camera or pick from your photo library.
– Learning activity: courses you enroll in, lessons you complete, practice days, your submissions, and the feedback given on them.
– Support messages: anything you send us by email.
Information collected automatically
– Device and app information: device model, operating system, app version, language and app instance identifiers.
– Usage information: which screens you view, which features you use and how long you use them (Firebase Analytics).
– Crash and performance data: crash reports and diagnostic logs (Firebase Crashlytics).
– Notification tokens: push notification tokens and your notification preferences.
– App integrity data: signals that confirm requests come from a genuine copy of the App on a genuine device (Firebase App Check, which uses Apple App Attest / Google Play Integrity).
– Purchase information: your subscription status and purchase history. Payments are handled by Apple or Google. We never receive your card or payment details.
Information we do not collect
– We do not collect your location.
– We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID), and we do not show third-party ads.
– We do not access your camera or photo library unless you choose to take or pick a photo, and then we only access the photo you choose.
- How we use information
We use your information to:
– create and run your account and keep your progress in sync across devices;
– review your drawings and give you AI-generated feedback, reference images and tutorials;
– send you push notifications, in-app messages and emails, such as practice reminders, notifications that your feedback or reference is ready, product updates and offers;
– personalise reminders and messages based on your activity, for example the date of your last drawing submission;
– provide and manage subscriptions;
– understand how the App is used, fix bugs and improve performance;
– improve Sketchee, including by using drawings you submit to develop and improve our features, lessons and AI models;
– use drawings you submit in our marketing, such as on our website, app store listings and social media. We do not publish your name or other information that identifies you alongside your drawings;
– protect the App against fraud, abuse and misuse; and
– comply with the law.
- AI processing
When you submit a drawing for review, or ask for a reference or tutorial, your drawing and related lesson information are sent to OpenAI to generate the result. Under our agreement with OpenAI, data sent through its API is not used to train OpenAI’s models.

- Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We share information only with service providers that help us run Sketchee, and only as needed for them to do so:

We may also disclose information:
– if the law requires it, or to respond to valid legal requests;
– to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, Fynova or others; or
– as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
- International transfers
Fynova is based in Australia, and our service providers process data in other countries, including the United States. By using Sketchee, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from those where you live. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the standard contractual clauses our providers offer.
- How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your account exists.
When you delete your account, we delete your account, profile, drawings, submissions and progress from our systems 7 days after your request. If you sign back in before then, your account is kept and nothing is deleted. Our service providers delete any copies they hold according to their own retention schedules. We may keep information for longer only where the law requires us to.
Drawings we have already published in marketing before you deleted your account may remain in those materials.
- Your choices and rights
– Deletion: you can delete your account and data at any time in the App, or by emailing [email protected].
– Access and correction: you can ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, by emailing [email protected].
– Notifications: you can turn off push notifications in your device settings. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
– Camera and photos: you can withdraw camera or photo library access at any time in your device settings.
– Subscriptions: you manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. These include the rights to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. This includes rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, the GDPR (EU/UK) and US state privacy laws such as the CCPA. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time the law requires, and we will not discriminate against you for using your rights.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy complaint, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au, or to your local data protection authority.
- Children’s privacy
Sketchee is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has given us information, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has used Sketchee, contact us at [email protected].
- Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information. These include encryption in transit, access controls, and app integrity checks. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
- Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If the changes are significant, we will notify you in the App or by email before they take effect. The “Effective date” above shows when this policy last changed.
